Dubai – Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) targets revenues at the end of 2023 to exceed US$3 billion. CEO of PIS Yoki Firnandi said that the company is also optimistic that it can achieve revenues above target in the remaining month of December.
He estimates that the revenue figure could range from US$3.2 billion to US$3.3 billion.
“For revenue growth acceleration, our target is 20 million and we project to reach US$280 million for a 13% growth in profit next year,” he said on the sidelines of COP28 in Dubai, as written on Saturday (2/12/2023).
Then PIS is also aggressively running potential projects such as powership electricity supply and exploring a number of projects in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. PIS is currently aggressive.
“PIS is currently aggressive in building business overseas, both for organic and inorganic growth,” he said.
Yoki said that the company is also targeting the market share in the Middle East, which has great potential. Actually, not only the Dubai area exists in the Middle East. PIS can also serve customers from any side, thus creating certain potential in Indonesia and abroad.
“Not only the Middle East, but the surrounding area is also large and can be served. For example, India with a large and continuously growing market. Then we can also be close to the Mediterranean and Europe. Many potentials that can be explored,” he said.
According to him, as a marine logistic company, PIS continues to move quickly to keep up with the changes in the world. For example, the world is currently aggressively transitioning from fossil energy to renewable energy.
“But the world moves dynamically, its basis is international and always moving, the trends of oil and gas are a major challenge for the company,” he said.
Currently, PIS has also successfully multiplied the company’s international shipping routes. PIS recorded a significant increase in international routes within a few months. From 26 routes in the middle of this year, it has risen to 50 routes in November 2023.
“International expansion is one of our priorities to advance the company’s business, we are confident in our ability to grow outside of Indonesia. So we have successfully multiplied the international routes from 26 to 50 routes at the moment,” said Yoki.
Yoki explained that this massive expansion, which has yielded results, is in line with PIS’s goal of becoming a leading shipping and marine logistics company in Asia. With a fleet of 96 owned ships and 305 other managed and operated ships, PIS has now become the company with the largest tanker fleet in Southeast Asia.
PIS, he continued, plans to continue its current business expansion strategy and fleet strengthening. In this strategy, PIS also develops a sustainable roadmap for the company’s future business sustainability and implements sustainable business principles for environmental preservation.
