Jakarta – Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh congratulated Prabowo Subianto as the elected president of the 2024 presidential election along with Gibran Rakabuming Raka. He made the statement during Prabowo’s visit to the NasDem Tower in Jakarta on Friday (22/3/24).
“We once again congratulate Mr. Prabowo and Mas Gibran on being appointed as the president and vice president-elect for the 2024 election results,” said Surya.
He explained that Prabowo’s visit to the NasDem headquarters was a form of solidarity due to their longstanding relationship of 40 years.
“This visit is a solidarity visit considering a long journey in our personal relationship of not less than 40 years,” he said.
“So it is very reasonable that both I personally and of course Mr. Prabowo still want the spirit of friendship that has been built for 40 years to be maintained,” he added.
During the visit, Prabowo expressed that he came to the NasDem family to express his gratitude directly to Surya. Previously, Surya had congratulated Prabowo-Gibran on their victory shortly after the General Election Commission (KPU) announced the results of the 2024 presidential election.
“Today I came to the NasDem family to express my appreciation and gratitude for the congratulations from Chairman of the NasDem Party,” said Prabowo.
“As soon as the General Election Commission announced the decision, appointing Prabowo Subianto as the president-elect and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the vice president-elect of the 2024 presidential election, the Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh immediately congratulated. And to respect that statement, I came and was received today at the NasDem Party headquarters,” he explained. (SENOPATI)
