Kecerdasan Buatan or Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been rapidly developing in recent years. Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, has warned that many white-collar jobs are at high risk of being replaced by AI within the next 12 to 18 months. This is due to the advancements in big data modeling technology and the emergence of what he calls the “Capable Artificial Intelligence era.”
In an exclusive interview with the Financial Times, Mustafa highlighted that AI is approaching human-level performance in many professional tasks. Jobs that heavily rely on computers such as lawyers, accountants, project managers, and marketers are among those that are most likely to be fully automated in the near future.
Significant changes are already evident in the software engineering industry, where most of the code is now generated using AI tools. Engineers are now focusing on strategies, reviews, and ensuring that AI systems can be implemented in real-world settings.
This shift has been noticeable over the past six months. As AI continues to advance, it is crucial for professionals to adapt to these changes and acquire new skills to remain relevant in the workforce. By staying informed and upskilling, individuals can leverage AI technologies to enhance their productivity and efficiency in various industries.
