Prabowo Jokowi Meeting: Updates on CEPA and Diplomatic Tour

President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to provide updates on his recent state visits to various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting, Prabowo shared the progress made, particularly in achieving a breakthrough with the European Union after 10 years of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence where they were warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting, described as cordial and relaxed, covered current issues and highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour, which yielded positive results.

Prabowo emphasized Indonesia’s strong international standing and commitment to neutrality and peaceful cooperation on the global stage. He highlighted Indonesia’s reputation as a non-aligned country, known for not joining political blocs but rather seeking friendship with every nation. This approach has led to Indonesia being welcomed everywhere due to its respectful and non-interfering stance in the domestic affairs of other countries.

Attending the meeting with Jokowi were State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo. Prabowo’s visit showcased Indonesia’s continued efforts to maintain a neutral position while fostering international relationships and cooperation.
