Minister Maman Abdurrahman recently introduced the RISE To IPO program, aiming to provide alternative financing solutions for medium-sized businesses in Indonesia. The lack of sustainable financing options tailored to the needs of these businesses is a significant challenge faced by them. Minister Maman highlighted the growing capital market in Indonesia as a promising source of funding during the launch event in Jakarta. The RISE To IPO program is seen as a transformative bridge for medium enterprises, encouraging them to transition from private companies to publicly listed ones that are more structured and competitive. By the end of 2024, 42 medium-scale companies from sectors like consumer goods, technology, and property had been listed on the acceleration board of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. These companies are expected to play a vital role in supporting micro and small businesses across the country. Minister Maman emphasized the importance of strong and competitive medium enterprises in the supply chain, which can positively impact the national economy. The initiative resonates with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision of industrial development and strengthening productive sectors. By going public, medium enterprises can not only enhance their own resilience but also create growth opportunities for micro and small enterprises.
