During his official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, President Prabowo Subianto received a warm reception from Indonesian elementary school children living in Jeddah. The children greeted him with enthusiasm, waving flags and chanting “Welcome, Mr. President!” The formal reception quickly turned into a heartwarming and emotional gathering as President Prabowo engaged with the children, smiling and taking photos with them. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, introduced himself proudly as the child of Indonesian Embassy workers in Jeddah. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo took a moment to share a sincere message with the children, encouraging them to excel in their studies.
The encounter was also significant for members of the Indonesian community in Jeddah, such as Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Hanif expressed gratitude for the President’s visit and shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future. President Prabowo was accompanied by several high-ranking Indonesian officials during the visit, strengthening the bond with the Indonesian community living abroad.
