President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that a total of 352 TNI soldiers are set to take part in the military parade marking the 76th anniversary of the Republic of India in New Delhi on January 26, 2025. This declaration came just before his departure to India from Halim Perdana Kusuma Airbase in Jakarta on Thursday afternoon. Indonesia expressed its joy and pride in receiving the invitation from the Indian government, allowing Indonesian troops, including Akmil cadets, to be prominently positioned in India’s anniversary parade. The Indonesian contingent will comprise 352 TNI soldiers and cadets from the military academy. President Prabowo is slated to hold discussions with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi covering various facets of bilateral cooperation. This includes the anticipated signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in areas such as health, culture, security, maritime safety, and technology. Furthermore, meetings with Indian entrepreneurs keen on investing in Indonesia are also part of his visit agenda.
