Jakarta – Ali Masykur Musa, Vice Chairman of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo-Gibran, revealed an interesting claim at a joint prayer event with Prabowo-Gibran volunteers at the TKN Fanta HQ headquarters, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
The Chairman of the Central Leadership of the Nahdlatul Ulama Scholars’ Association (NU) affirmed that Prabowo Subianto is a leader who meets the criteria in Islamic law. In his statement, Ali emphasized that Islam teaches the concept of effective leadership, which is able to create prosperity and uphold religious values.
“Pak Prabowo is a figure who is able to realize prosperity and these values,” said Ali, as quoted from the written statement.
Ali Masykur Musa also invited the volunteers who attended the joint prayer event to pray for the success of the Prabowo-Gibran pair in winning the 2024 Presidential Election in one round. He is optimistic that this victory will bring many benefits to the people.
Previously, a survey by the Indonesia Survey Institute (LSI) Denny JA in August 2023 showed that the Islamic party received 18.2 percent support. In the survey, Anies Baswedan led with a difference of 3.1 percent, while Prabowo ranked second with 28.3 percent, and Ganjar Pranowo ranked third with 28.1 percent.
According to LSI Denny JA researcher Ardian Sopa, in the release of the survey, the growth of the Islamic party can have a positive impact on Anies’ electability. However, he also pointed out the weaknesses that the Islamic party still has, which can affect Anies’ electability.
“The position of the Islamic party is not yet too strong, so overall Anies’ electability has not experienced a significant increase,” he said.
Ardian also explained that there are four parties classified as Islamic parties, namely PKB, PKS, PAN, and PPP. These four parties managed to win seats in the DPR in the 2019 General Election.
In the survey, LSI Denny JA also conducted a head-to-head simulation between three pairs of potential presidential candidates, namely Prabowo versus Ganjar, Prabowo versus Anies, and Ganjar versus Anies. The survey was conducted from August 1 to 8, 2023 with 1,200 respondents using a multistage random sampling method in all regions of Indonesia, with a margin of error of 2.9 percent. (SENOPATI)
